Markiyan Melnychenko CF, William Hennessy AM
and Molly Kadarauch

We return to the elegant Main Lounge at Mineral Springs Hotel for our next recital in this series, featuring Markiyan Melnychenko CF (violin), William Hennessy AM (viola) and Molly Kadarauch (cello) on Sunday May 17.
Markiyan and William have devised a special musical experience which includes Douglas Weiland's String Trio '12 Words from the Cross'. Weiland, who was a founding member of the Australian String Quartet and is a major contributor to Australian musical history, has been praised for his "music of palpable humanity and profound vision." His String Trio showcases his unique and touching musical voice and will take the listener on a memorable artistic journey.
The program also includes Beethoven's String Trio, an extraordinary work filled with the drama and energy of a young genius setting out to conquer the world with his music. Zoë, Caroline and Molly presented the G Major Opus 9 in our first recital and, building from a shared narrative that connects the two programs at a thematic level, Markiyan and William together with Molly will now continue the exploration of this masterwork with the C minor, Op. 9 No. 3.
